The Starlight Blade was once wielded by a proud Knight of the Luminous Order, named Isidra Star-eye. He was a renowned hunter of the undead and evil creatures of the Underdark. He spent the entirety of his career seeking to destroy the undead and their makers. Most know it as the Starlight Blade, though it goes by other names such as “The Hunter in Darkness” and “Uttershine”.
The blade was thought to be lost during the destruction of Slaughtergarde. Isidra was inside when the evil fortress was destroyed and its shards cast throughout the planes of existence. Its fate is a mystery.
Isidra’s will to defeat evil was so great that in the destruction of Slaughtergarde his spirit was thrust into the blade. He now inhabits the blade, much like an intelligent item. He does not speak per se, but his will is clear to all who wield the blade. He speaks to the wielder in dreams.
